SEA CADET PRIZES
The annual prize-giving parade of the Sumner-Redcliffs unit of the Sea Cadet Corps was inspected by Captain S. Dawson, of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, and prizes were presented as follows:
Steadfast Cup (best all-round cadet): VC Smith. Cleary Cannon (parade training): P/O J. McKay. Sub-branch Trophy (best dressed cadet): O/C Walker. Lepper Cup (voluntary parades): A/C Boers. Wyatt Cup (Marksmanship): L/C Alexander. New* man Cup (seamanship): P/O J. McKay. Owles Cup (most improved new entry): O/C Walker. Devron Trophy (sailing): P/O N. Smith. Women’s Auxiliary prize (for most improved able cadet): A/C Longstaff. McLeod Trophy (adaptability): O/C Connachie. Junior Navy League Trophy (best attendance): O/C Rowlands.
