Colt foal for Moy
“The Press” Special Service HASTINGS. The former top mare, Moy, which won 18 races from 61 starts and was placed on another 17 occasions for $34,700 in stakes, has foaled a bay colt to Sucaryl at Clear View Stud, Otane, in Hawke’s Bay. Moy had one win at two years when trained by the Hastings racing identity, A. Larsen,, who. trained, last year’s Waikato Hurdles winner, Box. As a three-year-old the mare was taken over by K. Couper, and she showed her ability that season by winning eight races. Notable victories included the Anniversary Mile at Avondale in her open-com-pany debut. As well, she ran second to Challen in the
Desert Gold Stakes and was third to Picaroon and Fair Filou in the Ormond Memorial Gold Cup at Hastings. Moy will be represented at the 1972 yearling sales at Trentham by a Lionhearted colt. In the accompanying photograph Moy is shown with her Sucaryl colt
