Rises proposed
Legislation increasing the salaries and allowances of Ministers and members of the New South Wales State Parliament was introduced by the Premier (Mr Askin) last night. It would increase his own salary from $18,215 to $26,000, and his allowances from $4700 to $6OOO. Private members’ salaries would increase from $8035 to $11,250. —Sydney, Dec. 1.
