Property sold at almost double Govt valuation

A brick bungalow on a section of 24 perches at 52 Winchester Street, Merivale, with a Government valuation of $15,650, was sold at auction yesterday for $30,500. Mr P. Cook was the auctioneer, on behalf of Simes and Company. A weatherboard bungalow on a section of 40 perches at 32 Konini Street, Riccarton,

was sold at public auction yesterday for $13,600. The Government valuation was

$10,750. Mr F. McD. Templeton was the auctioneer, on behalf of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd. A two-bedroom house at 1 Woodbridge Road, Cashmere, was sold at public auction yesterday for $8750. The Government valuation was $5BOO and the auctioneer, on behalf of Binns, Barber and Keenan, Ltd, was Mr E. G. Keenan.

A four-bedroom house on a section of 32 perches at 51 Marama Crescent, St Andrew's Hill, was passed in at public auction yesterday at $lB3OO. The property has a Government valuation of $12300. Mr W. D. Chamberlain was the auctioneer for Beasley, Packard and Chamberlain, Ltd.
