Tatana tops 4 lists

PARIS. The prop forward, H. Tatana, topped the statistics list in four ways during the New Zealand Rugby league tour of Britain and France. In addition to kicking the most goals (65) and being the leading points scored (145), Tatana made more appearances (21) than any other

player and was the top tryscorer among the forwards (5). P. C. Orchard, the right wing who set a new tour record of 27 tries, failed to score in only four of the team’s matches in which he played. The only field goals in the New Zealand tally of 427 points were those kicked by D. A. Williams against Wigan and France in the second test.

Nearly two-thirds of the team’s 91 tries were scored by the three-quarters, while Tatana was responsible .for all but 11 of the 76 .goals kicked by the Kiwis. The tourists conceded 343 points. Not counting their warm-up games against amateur sides, they played 26 matches in Britain 1 and France, winning 15, losing 10 and drawing one. The Kiwis will arrive in Auckland on Friday after making stops' at Rome and Singapore, and brief halts at Bombay and Sydney. Dowsett (4 games), Mann (6), Burgoyne (11) and Fisher (16. including 6 tests) did not score. D. Williams also kicked two field goals.
