Bauxite leases
i Project Mining Corporation, I Limited, has acquired the right to prove and develop : significant new deposits of bauxite near Bunbury, Western Australia. It already controls areas at Gidgegannup on which exploration to date has proved over 30m tons and further work could extend this figure to 60m tons. Hie Bunbury deposits have potential for at least an equivalent amount of bauxite with the added advantage of being adjacent to the proposed site of the AlwestB.H.P. refinery at Collie, Western Australia. Proving of the new area will start early in the new year. If ■ early expectations are fuli filled P.M.C. will, on completion of both programmes, Icontrol bauxite deposits of : up to 120 m tons.
