Scholarship in music
A new musical and vocal scholarship, to be called the Maria d’Albini Scholarship, is being established at Auckland University, under the will of the late Mrs E. M. Shipherd. The scholarship, which will have an annual value of $6OO, will be tenable for two years and will be open each year to candidates—whether Auckland University students or not —aged between 17 and 24.
It will be awarded on the result of a special examination, and will enable the scholar to study singing for a degree or a diploma at Auckland or any other New Zealand university, or elsewhere with the approval of the head of the conservatorium of music,.
