AUCKLAND, Nov. 29. The group net profit of the Dominion Breweries, Ltd, fell 13 per cent in the six months to September 30, despite extra earnings from recently-acquired hotels, the directors say in the interim report. Trading results were adversely affected by cost rises which the company has carried at an increasing rate since January, 1970, and the eight-week brewery workers' strike, they say. Results for the balance of the year would be materially affected by the outcome of the application for an increase in the wholesale price of beer. The interim dividend had been held at 5} per cent, payable on December 13. The full rate for the last year was 12J per cent.
