Old socks
GV.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Nov. 26. As a major project for 1972, the Te Awamutu Jaycees are planning an “international socks company.”
This project will involve the acquisition of socks from the famous—preferably used and autographed socks.
Among those who will be asked to contribute are the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, President Nixon, Brigitte Bardot, Mao Tse-tung, Sir Keith Holyoake, Mr Kirk, All Blacks, and the Russian Prime Minister (Mr Kosygin).
Any socks received will be given puppet faces, and will be auctioned for the benefit of the Save the Children Fund. ft
