NATIVITY PLAYS
A series of nativity plays will be a feature of the Christmas decor in a Christchurch shop this year. The plays will be produced by Standard 4 pupils of Christchurch primary schools. The schools have been invited by Beath and Company to enter a nativity display competition to try to win one of three cash prizes offered by the Ann. Participating schools have a fortnight to complete their displays before judging by public vote in the firm’s Christchurch store between December 10 and Christmas Eve. Votes will get 1c each and all money collected from voting will be given to the Save the Children Fund. Considerable interest has been shown by the schools and more than 50 entries are expected.
