NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it a Special Meeting of the Christchurch City Council held tn Monday, the Sth day of Noember, 1971, the following resoution was passed and it will be übmitted for confirmation as a Special Order at the meeting of he CouncU to be held on Monlay, the 13th day of December, 971, at 8 p.m., at the City Counil Chambers, 194 Manchester Itreet, Christchurch: THAT IN PURSUANCE and exrcise of the powers vested in t by the Municipal Corporations Let, 1954, and the Local Authoriles Loans Act, 1956, and all mendments thereto and all ther Acts in that behalf entiling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to proeed to raise in New Zealand a »an to be known as The Queen Elizabeth II Park Development .oan, 1971—53,890,000, for the urpose of providing facilities for he 1974 Commonwealth Games t Queen Elizabeth H Park, subect to the following determinates:— 1) The maximum term for which the said loan or any part theretof may be borrowed shall be 30 years, provided that:— (a) Where the method of repayment is in accordance with clause 3 (a) hereof, the minimum term shall be not less than 10 years; (b) Where the method of repayment is in accordance with clause 3 (b) hereof, any amounts borrowed for less than 10 years shall not exceed 30 per cent of the issue and shall be borrowed for 5 years and/or 6 years. 2) The rate of inteerst that may may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding the appropriate rate for the time being specified by the Local Authorities Loans Board and notified in the “New Zealand Gazette.” 3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by any of the following methods of repayment: (a) By equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments of principal and interest; (b) By establishing a sinking fund before raising the said loan or any issue relating thereto and by making annual payments to such sinking fund at a rate of not less than 1:51 per cent per annum of the amount of the loan or of that issue, as the case may be (other than any part being repaid pursuant to sub-paragraph (a) of this clause), for the time being borrowed and not repaid.

(4) No interest, instalment of ; principal and Interest or pay- i ment to a sinking fund shall , be paid outside New Zealand ; or out of loan money. (5) The following commission or fees may be paid in respect j of the raising of the said , loan or any part thereof:— (a) Brokerage not exceeding i per cent of the amount raised; (b) Underwriting commission or fees not exceeding j per cent of the amount underwritten; (q) A placement fee, not exceeding 2 per cent, in respect of a placement by a single lender of not less than $20,000 for a term of 20 years or more, provided that no placement fee shall be payable in respect of an underwritten issue or any part thereof. Except as aforesaid, no procuration fees or other fees or commission of a similar nature shall be paid and no discount shall be allowed to any lender in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof. (6) The security for the repayment of the said loan shall be a Special Rate of $.00162 in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch.” Pusurant to the Local Authrities Loans Act, 1956, IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that a poll of the ratepayers is required to i be taken if not less than five per cent (5%) of the ratepayers of • the City of Christchurch, whose names are inscribed on the ratel payers’ roll of the district so demand, by writing under their i hands, delivered or sent by post I to the Christchurch City Council and received at the offices of I the Christchurch City CouncU, 194 Manchester Street, ChristI church 1 (P.O.
