There had been a continuing steady inquiry for moist commodities on Smithfield market last week, the Meat Board reported. Moderated pitchings of all grades of New Zealand lamb sold at advanced quotations, with the main grade (29 to 361 b) realising 13.8 p to 14.3 p. Price Var’n
Light supplies of New Zealand mutton cleared steadily, with the main grade of hogget (49 to 561 b) realising Bp, and prime hogget (481 b and under) fetching 9p the main grade of wether (49 to 561 b) realised 6.9 p to 7.2 p and the main grade of ewe (49 to 561 b) made 6.8 p. Very small quantities of New Zealand boneless ox beef cuts sold in the following price range:;—
