"Terrible' murder
(A’.Z. Prcsx Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 14. A self-styled "Hell’s Angel”! who stabbed a youth to death and then composed a song, about the killing has been; sentenced to life imprison-; ment. William Devanney, aged! 19, of Tunnel Avenue, Green-1 wich, was told by the Lon-I don recorder, Sir Carl 1 Aarvold, "This was a terrible, cold-blooded murder, [of the most deliberate kind.” Devanney had been found guilty of murdering Charles (Anthony Hedges, aged 18, of ;Troughton Road, Charlton, [on June 12. He had pleaded |not guilty. A second defendant, Peter Stimson, aged 18, was found not guilty of murder, conspiring with Devanney to murder, and impeding iDevanney’s arrest. He was [discharged.
