Time and Tide picked again

(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH. The first-day winners, Time and Tide and Bev Leigh, are fancied for the T.A.B. double on the second day of the Greymouth Jockey Club’s spring meeting today.

In the first leg, the Hotel Association of New Zealand Handicap, Time And, Tide, although he has risen 61b in weight for his first day’s success, should be hard to beat again.

Sailing Home, which ran on strongly for second over seven furlongs on Saturday, will be better suited by the longer distance, and could test her Riccarton rival. Bev Leigh, an impressive winner on the first day, would be hard to beat if reserved for the second leg, the President’s Handicap. Talisall and Joust appear likely to provide her with most opposition.

Rain fell on Saturday night, and a* more is predicted, the track may be softer than on the opening day. Selections: — 12J Stokes No. 1: Colly Pol, Domeitic, Billowed. 12.46 Handicap: Bev Leigh.
