Charter to be renewed
(N.Z. Press Association) _ AUCKLAND, Oct. 10. "The Holm Shipping Company’s charter vessel Luhesand will continue to ply between Tahiti and New Zealand, a spokesman for the company confirmed. The spokesman said that negotiations were under way for a renewal of the charter with the ship’s West German owners. There had been fears in New Zealand shipping and trade union circles that the Luhesand might go off the run if the French Spfrana Line moved in with New Caledonian seamen who would be paid lower rates than their New Zealand counterparts.
