Japanese not coming
The team of Japanese motor-cycle works riders, which was to have taken part in an international motocross series in New Zealand this season, is not now coming. This was confirmed yesterday by two of the organisers, Messrs A. Collison, of Palmerston North, and J. A. Fraser, of Christchurch. It is now unlikely that a New Zealand international
series will be held this season. However, two riders of international standing, Randy Owen and Rowley Owen, will be visiting New Zealand shortly and will be racing in a number of selected events. They will compete in Christchurch on December 12.
Randy Owen was runnerup in the New Zealand international moto-cross three years ago.
