Four seek mayoralty
A second independent candidate will contest the Christchurch mayoralty in the local body elections. He is Mr R. C. Morrison, aged 25, of Baynes Street, Burwood, who is an orderly at Burwood Hospital. There will now be four candidates for the Mayoralty. Nominations for the elections close at noon today. The other three candidates' nominated are the present Mayor (Mr A. R. Guthrey), Cr N. G. Pickering, and Mr C. M. Hansen, of Addington.
