Igloo goes north
The Wingatui - owned and trained Igloo has been under treatment for a corn in the last week or so, but has made good progress. Last evening he was taken north with his three-year* old stablemate, Jemma, and will be shipped from Wellington to Melbourne to be prepared for a spring campaign. Igloo is owned and trained by A. E. Didham, whose son, E. J. Didham, may ride the rangy four-year-old in the Caulfield Cup. In 16 starts last season Igloo had four wins, three seconds, three thirds, and was only twice worse than fourth. Jemma made an early show of form for Mrs Didham with a win at Riccarton last season. She had a slight set-back before the Grand National meeting, but has thrived since she joined Igloo at Riccarton recently and her experienced trainer should not find it difficult to place her to advantage in Melbourne.
