I The chairman of the Australian Board of Cricket control (Sir Donald Bradman) announced tonight that the invitation to South Africa would be withdrawn. Sir Donald Bradman made the announcement after a meeting of the 13-member board, In a departure from previous statements the board appealed to the South African Government to relax its apartheid laws so that the country’s cricketers could compete internationally once more.
The all-white South African team was due to begin its 17-week tour in Perth on October 22.
