Birthday party
The Aranui Townswomen’s Guild held its eighteenth anniversary celebration recently, when the president (Mrs F..W. Derbyshire) welcomed guests, including Mrs D. Plumridge a foundermember of the guild. Two life-members, Mrs H. Grose and Miss A. Park lit and fanned out candles on the birthday cake, which had been made by Mrs C. Richards and was cut by Mrs Plumridge. A programme of entertainment was presented by the guild’s singing and drama circles.
