Medical unit to take part \
(N.Z. Press Association)
BLENHEIM, Sept. 7. New Zealand’s first forward medical-aid unit will be used at the week-end. The unit will be flown from Christchurch to take part in a large civil defence exercise at Blenheim.
A Royal New Zealand Air Force Hercules will bring the civilian unit, of four doctors, 36 nurses, and equipment, to Woodbourne. The unit will work at Innes House, the Marlborough College Board’s hostel, as part of “Exercise Limelight.” Assisting in the exercise will be Red Cross mobile disaster units—two from Wellington and one from Christchurch. ‘
