B team men promoted With the South Island Rugby selectors having made heavy inroads into the Canterbury A representative squad, two members of the B team will play for the senior XV against Mid-Can-terbury at Lancaster Park on Saturday. They are the lock, E. R. Leask (New Brighton), and the side-row forward, C. J. Read (Shirley), who will soon transfer to Auckland. However, both have previously played for Canterbury A. tii addition, the four reserves for the match are all Canterbury B representatives this winter. The team is: W. F. McCormick; B. R. Ford, L. W. Jones, R. J. Woolhouse; K. J. Gimblett, O. D. Bruce; B. F. Elder; 1 H. Penrose; S. E. Cron, R. J. Lockwood, Leask, Bead; K. J. Tanner, L G. Grant, A. E. Hopkinson.
Reserves.—B. C. Cochrane, P. Peacock e; W. Bush, J. Phillips.
