Police seek driver
Christchurch police would like to interview the driver of a dark coloured Mark II Ford Zephyr which, they believe, failed to stop after an accident on the comer of Lichfield and Barbadoes Streets at 9.50 last evening. Carolyn Jean Bishop, aged 19, of 42 Tomrich Street, Aranui, was admitted to Christchurch Hospital after being knocked off her motorcycle in the accident. She suffered moderately serious head injuries. Her condition last evening was described as quite comfortable. Police said that the vehicle might be damaged in the front right-hand section.
