Vaccine for girls

Rubella vaccine, which prevents German measles, will be offered to all Form II girls throughout NeW Zealand, the Medical Officer of Helath of Palmerston North (Dr J. M. Brownlie) said today. There was now a surplus of the vaccine, and it was considered desirable to vaccinate this age group against the disease, he said. . Form II girls were almost in the child-bearing age group, and medically this was considered the suitable age to introduce the vaccine.
