Youngest chief superintendent

frets Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. Superintendent G. A. Dallow, head of the Police Departments’ legal section, has been promoted to chief superintendent. At 41, he is the youngest man. ever to hold this rank in the New Zealand Police. His promotion was announced today by the Commissioner of Police (Mr W. H. A. Sharp). Mr Dallow, a solicitor, qualified in law seven years ago. He joined the police in Auckland in 1949.
