NEW BASE
The New Zealand Friesian Association hopes to occupy new 2500 square feet headquarters at Papatoetoe, south of Auckland, early next year.
This was stated during the past week by the president of the association, Mr R. G. Mclntosh, of Ladbrooks.
Mr Mclntosh said that the present headquarters in Newmarket were not large enough.
The, association had about 1300 members as at March last year and in the two years up to the same date the number of female cattle registered with the association had increased by more than 16,000.
At the end of this year Mr N. R. Roper, the present secretary • manager, will retire after 46 years with the association. He will continue to serve the organisation, however, in an advisory capacity. His place will be taken by Mr W. H. Scoltock.
