Improved condition
Two persons admitted to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries after a road accident in Halswell on Tuesday night in which a woman was killed are now off the seriously ill list. Theodore • John William Loeffen, aged 48, of 44 Victors Road. Hoon Hay, and Keith Purdon, aged 46, of Trents Road, Prebbleton, were both reported to be in a fair condition. Mr Loeffen’s wife, Francisca Johanna Loeffen, aged 48. died in the accident. Robert Loeffen, aged 12, who was also injured in the accident, was reported to be in a comfortable condition in Princess Margaret-Hospital.
