West Coast Rugby team
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH. The West Coast sole selector (Mr T. Bird) has retained the same XV for the match against Canterbury at Lancaster Park next Tuesday as that which played Nelson Bays in the Seddon Shield challenge at Nelson last Saturday. The only alteration is that L. Halsall (first five-eighths) and K. Beams (second five?eighths) change places. This will mean that the half-back, M. McQuillan, and Beams will renew their former combination. The Coast team is:— R. F. Nelson; B. R. Arnold, B. N. Stewart, P. J. Nolan; L. B. Halsall, K. J. Beams (captain); M. J. McQuillan; D. H. Henham; G. Wynyard, M. S. Macßae, J. Scott, M. Wynyard; N. R. McMillan, J. R. Tacon, D. G. Bryce. Reserves: K. Murtha, T. Bromley, R. J. Harris, R. Mitchell. Hiller to play.—R. Hiller, the England and Lions full-back who announced his retirement in New Zealand, is expected to take the field in his club’s side on Saturday, the Press Association reports.
