Canterbury B team changes

Canterbury B. which is unbeaten in four matches this season, will endeavour to maintain its record when it meets South Canterbury at Lancaster Park on Saturday. Two, or possibly three, changes will be made in the side, however, from that which played Marlborough last Saturday. The young High School Old Boys’ players, S. Purdon, replaces J. Ryan as a loose forward, while on the wing, B. Cochrane will replace M. Moore. In the centre three-quarters position, the 19-year-old I. Hurst, a Lincoln College student, and D. Palmer have been bracketed. The team is:—

R. Griffiths; D. Berry, Hurst or Palmer, Cochrane; D. Murchison, P. Peacocke; A. Penny; J. Phillips; Purdon, V. Stewart, E. Leask (captain), C. Read; B. Thompson, B. Francis, W. Bush.
