Ploughman for U.K. next week

(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Sept, 1. New Zealand's champion ploughman, A. Wallace, of Cambridge, next week will leave for England to take part in his second worldploughing championship. Wallace, who won his first national title at Blenheim in 1968, and his second at Timaru this year, will be accompanied by his manager, Mr T. F. Carter, of Greenpark, Canterbury. Mr E. A. E. Fairhall, of Blenheim, the New Zealand representative on the World Ploughing Organisation’s council, also will attend the championship. Forty-one ploughmen from 21 countries will take part m the contest, near Wellington, Somerset, on October 1 and 2.
