all-wool suits, which were tastefully co-ordinated with coloured ties and shirts, presenting very effectively the new styles in men’s clothes, yet achieving an over-all unicluttered effect of simplicity,” said Mr Kirk. ! A two-piece suit, made! from New Zealand crossbred iwool and the first of its kind I in New Zealand, was worn at the presentation ceremony by Mr L. G. Petrie, sales manager (tailoring division) of Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd.’ Mr Anderson said that the suit was a result of three years research under the auspices of the Wool Board. “It is the first crossbred wool fabric available commercially in the world,” he

said. “Although it is a lightweight fabric, it will stand up to a lot more punishment than finer wool, as it is made from wool that is normally used in hard-wearing carpets.” The photograph shows (from left), Messrs Dry, Ware, Petrie, Anderson, and Kirk.
