$6OO to appeal

The Commonwealth Games Appeal Fund benefited by $6OO at the annual sale of Angus bulls at the Te Mania Stud, • Hundalee, yesterday. When the last of the catalogue of 50 bulls was trotted into the ring, the auctioneer (Mr D. B. Clarkson) announced that the proprietor of the stud (Mr F. F. Wilding) would give the proceeds of this beast to the Games Appeal Fund. Bidding opened at $2OO, and closed at $6OO. Mr Wilding was warmly applauded for his gesture.
