I. W. Dow profit rose 14.7%
An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of (von Watkins-Dow, Ltd, has approved increase of nominal capital to $5 million. To coincide with the opening of the l-for-3 capital issue today the directors announced the final figures for the year to June 30, 1971, as follows: (1) Tax paid profit $283,158 (last year $245,908). This 14.7 per cent profit increase was achieved on sales 10.6 per cent higher than last year. (2) Return on shareholders’ funds 9.1 per cent (last year 8.1 per cent). (3) Unchanged annual divident 11 per cent, covered 1.7 times (last year 1.6 times).
