SAWMILL’S OFFER
Alpine Sawmills, Ltd, of Prestons Road, has offered to fell, mill, and treat free of charge enough timber from the North Canterbury Hospital Board’s plantation at Burwood to build the proposed hostel fo rparaplegics in the grounds of Burwood Hospital. Last Saturday “The Press” incorrectly reported that Mr J. M. V. Morel, managing director of McAlpine Sawmills, Ltd, had made the offer. Mr Morel is managing director of Alpine Sawmills, Ltd.
