GREYMOUTH, Aug. 19. Mr and Mrs B. Weston, of Preston Road, Greymouth, who have been buying lottery tickets every week since they were married seven years ago, yesterday won first prize of $24,000 in the Golden Kiwi No. 479.

Mr and Mrs Weston, who have three young children, propose to invest most of the money. Mr Weston Is an engineer employed by the Post Office in Greymouth. They used the nom de plume, “Cuddles,” as they have done on all their tickets, and the ticket was purchased at Brislane’s bookshop.

Five female clerical workers at the Greymouth railway station yesterday shared the eighth prize of $6OO, and West Coast luck extended further with a $2OO prize, three of $lOO and two of $4O.
