Tough test for colt
Classic Mission, the pre-post favourite for the Papania Handicap at Riccarton will face a test which has not often been overcome by a three-year-old. However, his admirers may take some heart from the fact that Honda won in 1968 as a three-year-old. At his last start Classlm Mission won the Courtenay Handicap at Trentham under 9-6. Four days before he won the Pacific Handicap at Trentham under top-weight of 8-13. The first of his three consecutive wins was at the Hawke’s Bay meeting at the end of April.
