WELLINGTON, Aug. 5.

Representatives of the Electrical Supply Association, electrical contractors, the Employers’ Federation and the State Services Commission today met the Minister of Labour (Mr Marshall), to examine the problems arising out of relativities between the three employing groups. After the meeting, Mr Marshall said problems had arisen relating to the provisions whereby State rates were being automatically applied where direct comparability was not justified.

“We are also concerned about the problems that will arise if this kind of distortion is carried through into other trades,” he said.
