TALKS ON DISPUTES

WELLINGTON, Aug. 5.
The president of the Federation of Labour (Mr T. E. Skinner), met the Minister of Labour (Mr Marshall) and the Secretary of Labour (Mr E. G. Davey), today.
Mr Skinner said afterwards that it was a “general talk on the industrial situation.”
The brewery dispute, among other disputes, was discussed, and the Stabilisation of Remuneration Act was mentioned, Mr Skinner said.
The meeting lasted an hour and a half.
