Road racing successes
Although not fielding an official works team, the Suzuki factory should be well satisfied with the successes of riders using its machines in world championship road racing events this year. Apart from K. Turner (New Zealand) and R. Bron (Netherlands), who seem likely to finish second and third in the world SOO c.c. championship, a Suzuki appears certain to win the 125 c.c. class for the sec-.
ond successive year. The Englishman, B. Sheene, bought one of the ageing former works Suzuki twins last year and is currently sweeping all before him. After winning the Swedish grand prix, he led the world series with 74 points—l 4 points clear of his nearest challenger, the Spaniard, A. Nieto. The defending champion in the 125 e.c. class is the West German, D. Braun.
