Fashion contest cancelled
Because of an unfortunate breakdown in negotiations, the Canterbury Jockey Club’s ilanned “Fashions in the Field” contest had been cancelled, the secretary of the club (Mr W. R. Barberel) said yesterday. The club regretted the cancellation, he said, but hoped to hold a similar event in the future.
