No extra beer
it'rom Our Own Reporter/ GREYMOUTH, Aug. 4r Westland Breweries, Ltd, in Greymouth, a subsidiary of Dominion Breweries, Ltd, was not able to supply beer to any additional areas, the, manager (Mr N. J. Musto)! said today. A Titnaru report said that, some hotels were attempting to avert a serious bottled; beer shortage by ordering; quantities of beer from the West Coast, but Mr Musto said that the brewery was being kept busy supplying its regular customers in Greymouth, Westport and Nelson. “We have had increased orders from our regular customers because of a general shortage of bottled beer, and because of panic buying. We will be lucky if we have enough to fill these orders, and we will definitely not be supplying beer to any other areas,” he said.
