U.K. arms for Lebanon
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 4. Britain is negotiating a £4om agreement to re-equip the Lebanese Army and Air Force, the “Daily Express” said today. The newspaper’s defence correspondent, Chapman Pincher, said that the contract included . eight refurbished Hawker Hunter jet fighters, electronic equipment and vehicles. Lebanon previously bought many of its armaments from France.
