Four concerts by quartet

The two works to be ’ offered in the first concert are j the Mozart Quintet in A i
major and the Brahms quintet in B minor. In the second concert, on September 12, the quartet will appear alone, to play quarters by Haydn, Hindemith, and Brahms; and in the third concert it will be joined by the University Chamber Orchestra, conducted by John Ritchie. This recital, on September 26, will feature an interesting and diverse selection: Handel's Concerto Grosso in A minor, Bach’s Viola Concerto in C Minor (with Jaroslav Karlovsky as soloist), Haydn’s Violin Concerto- in C Major (with Rudolf Kalup as soloist), and Hindemith’s “Funf Stucke.” For the final concert, on October 10, Maurice Till will join the quartet to perform piano quintets by Schumann and Dvorak.
