Barmen lift beer ban
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 19. Faced with unemployment because of the brewery dispute, Auckland barmen today lifted their ban on the sale of bottled beer from out-of-town breweries but they were wasting their time.
Waikato Breweries, of Hamilton, and Leopard Breweries, of Hastings, cannot meet any demand from Auckland for more bottled beer.
