PHNOM PENH, July 16.

Two sons of Cambodia’s former leader, Prince Norodom Sihanouk, went on trial today, accused of taking part in a series of terrorist attacks, including the bombing last year of the United States Embassy in Phnom Penh. Norodom Narraith, aged 27, and Norodom Naradipo, aged 25, could receive the death penalty under the martial law adopted last year when their father was deposed and Cambodia entered the Indo-China war. There are 11 other defendants in the case.

Naradipo was convicted of, treason by a military court last year, and is serving a’ five-year prison term. The terrorist attacks include the bombing of a cinema in which more than 20 people were killed, and the destruction of rolling-stock in the railyards outside Phnom Penh.
