SPECIAL COURSES
Students from college (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 21. Special courses would be held during the rest of this year for New Zealand and overseas students displaced by the closing of the Premier Business College, said the Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys) today. The closing of the college affected . some 340 students, about 230 of whom were taking secretarial courses and the others business administration courses. There were 220 private overseas students at the college. “The special courses will be conducted in accommodation made available by the Tamaki College board of governors and the scheme will be administered by the Auckland Technical Institute,” Mr Taiboys said.
Strike continues. Two hundred men employed by Downer-Comstock on the Tasman pulp and paper mill extensions at Kawerau yesterday were still on strike over the job classification of three men on the site.— (P-A.).
