NONETUPLET DIES

The last of the Brodrick nonetuplets, a five-day-old, 12-ounce boy, is still in a critical condition, a spokesman for the Royal Womens Hospital, Sydney,said today. Another of the nonetuplets, the last surviving girl, died early today after developing a lung complication. Doctors said in an earlier bulletin that the surviving boy, the smallest of the nine babies, was -given a blood transfusion on Wednesday because his liver was unable to cope with impurities in his blood.
Two of the nine babies were stillborn; three died on Sunday night and two on Tuesday night.
