New export markets
A New Zealand company of export specialists is to open new markets for this country’s goods in the Pacific.
S. McL. Miln and Company, Ltd, will open an office in Apia to serve New Zealand exporters interested in marketing to Western Samoa, American Samoa, and Tonga, areas which the company says offer considerable scope for local manufacturers. Mr Robert W. Wade, a marketing officer with the company in Auckland, has been appointed manager of the new office. He has previously opened new export markets in the Pacific basin and New Guinea. The company has already established successful trade offices in Fiji and Australia. Contest for board of Kearns-Oatina Mr M. L. Coffey is offering himself as a candidate for election as a director of Kearns-Oatina, Ltd, at the annual meeting of the company on June 23. Mr Coffey will contest the seat of either of the retiring directors, Mr H. G. G. Lyttle and Mr H. R. B. Blake.
