H. Berry profit rises 4 p.c.

WELLINGTON, June 17.
The unaudited net profit of Henry Berry, Ltd, -for the year to March 31 was $131,264, an improvement of about 4 per cent on last year. It included results of a full year’s trading at Wyona Canneries, Ltd, and Greenslade Hughes, Ltd, the directors said in a preliminary report.
Group sales increased 11.2 per cent, while profits before payroll tax amounted to $139,777, a gain of 10.6 per cent on last year. The directors recommended a final ordinary dividend of 5 per cent, making a steady 10 per cent for the year.
