BORDER FIRE

CALCUTTA, Jun* 16. Indian and Pakistani troops, poised on the IndiaPakistan frontier across Bengal, exchanged fire again yesterday for the fourth time in three consecutive days, according to a spokesman for the Indian bonder security force.
Although both the Indian* and Pakistani* used mortar* and medium machine-guns during earlier incidents, the half-hour skirmish yesterday was limited to small arms fire.
The Indians allege that the Pakistani* moved up to th* post near Petrapole, the main Indian eheekKint on the highway to ■sore, and opened fire without provocation.
The Indian Foreign Minister (Mr Swsran Singh) has decrlbed as "alarmist and Invalid” reports that India is moving armed forces to her border with Pakistan.
Lieutenant - General Tikka Khan, the Military Governor of East Pakistan, has Hen quoted ** saying that India was reinforcing Regular Army units on th* border with reservist units, and was prepared to taka offensive action.
